Coffee cake is a tradition in our household around this time of year. I absolutely love baking even though I don't do it often (darn calories!) and coffee cake is one of my favorite sweet treats for fall. I usually use Martha Stewart's recipe because her desserts are absolutely decadent - who doesn't love Martha?! This time I served Kenny and myself a slice of my homemade coffee cake with a side of Starbucks® Caramel K-Cup® Packs coffee for a lovely Sunday morning breakfast - the perfect pairing if you ask me. Not a day goes by where I don't drink at least two full cups of coffee and eat a little sweetness so I was thrilled when Starbucks asked me to sample this delicious new K-Cup® Pack. Plus there's something special about spending some morning time together with your man while sipping coffee and eating a delicious homemade cake. Like I said before, weekend mornings are my favorite! I'm always on the lookout for more fall recipes, especially desserts, so do tell me what your favorite fall pairings are!
p.s. Add some chopped walnuts and drizzle a little caramel sauce on top of your favorite coffee cake - it adds a little crunch and keeps the cake moist and tasting incredible!
