Preview of Our Wedding: Part 2

First of all, thank you all SO much for your sweet comments yesterday!! I'm so happy that I have gotten to know so many wonderful, lovely ladies :)
Now, back to our wedding preview: part 2...
Where do I even start? These last few weeks of preparations have been a bit overwhelming and crazy, but everything is coming together and I hope our wedding will be perfect and just as I envision it!
The first phase of wedding planning was prioritizing. We needed to decide which things we thought were more important and we were willing to spend more money on. The band, the photographer, and the venue ended up on the very top of our list of priorities! The band we chose will play a mix of Spanish music and American music, but we also hired a DJ so that the band can take breaks here and there and people will never have any down time :)
One of my favorite parts of a wedding is always the cocktail hour. Who doesn't love that first cocktail and the (usually) amazing hors d'eouvres that follow the ceremony? Our signature cocktail will be an incredible champagne sangria that we named The Vivineth cocktail (combination of K's and my name)!
The seating card table was a project I took very seriously. I wanted to incorporate the beach, tropical theme in our seating cards without making them look in any way cheesy. I think you will absolutely love the final product when I show you!
The reception tables will be of different shapes and sizes (mostly round and rectangular) and so will the centerpieces. I wanted to combinate high and low elements with the perfect lighting - candles - to make the room feel intimate and elegant.
The cake (yes, the cake) was something I didn't really put much attention to until we met with the pastry chef. I fell in love with the idea she presented to us - a four-tier cake (round) with seashells made out of white chocolate decorating the whole thing. Um, sign me up.
Ok, if I keep going I will never stop. Weddings are so full of details and it is those details that make it feel your own. Don't ever listen to anyone that tells you that you're putting too much emphasis on the little things because I truly believe it's those small details that make a wedding unique and so special to the newlyweds.
Only 9 days left until the BIG day and 5 days until we catch our flight to sunny Puerto Rico!

  1. Congrats, girl! It sounds like it is going to be the event of a lifetime! Honestly, I'm with you, it's all in the details! Those are the things that you will look back on and smile about (well, that and the fact that you got married to your sweetheart on that day!). Enjoy every second, it only comes once!
