Honeymooning in Paris

Paris is a magical city. Romantic, full of wonderful architecture, with some of the best restaurants in the world, and an amazing history. K and I arrived in Paris late on Saturday night after taking the EuroStar train from London to Paris (highly recommended!) We stayed at the super cute Esprit Saint Germain Hotel and had the BEST time EVER. The highlights of our trip include: a perfectly touristy dinner at Fouquet's, a ride on the Seine, a fancy lunch at Le Jules Verne in the Eiffel Tower (yes, the restaurant is located on the second or middle platform and has a private elevator!), hot chocolate and the best quiche lorraine at Angelina, drinks at Bar 8 in the brand spankin' new Mandarin Oriental, steak frites at the most amazing bistro in all of Paris - Le Relais de Entrecôte, a visit to the Catacombs, a morning spent taking in the amazing views of Paris from Montmartre, and a very special dinner at Le Meurice. There is so much to do in Paris that it is just impossible to cover it all in five days. However, Paris proved to be a perfect honeymoon destination and made K and I fall deeply in love with it.

Can you tell that we ate A LOT and had an amazing time?! We've been back for only five days and I'm soooo ready to go back!

  3. C'est parfait! I lived in Paris, and my #1 recommendation for dinner is Le Relais! AMAZING. Did you know they have one EXACTLY like it in NYC called Le Relais de Geneve?! Seriously the same. Unreal.
