What to Wear: Date Night

I'm not the biggest fan of movie theaters - I find it more cozy and comfy to cuddle up in my couch with K and watch the movie at home - but in some rare occasion, like this past Saturday, a movie will come out that I need to go see as soon as it hits theaters. Enter The Hunger Games. I devoured the trilogy in less than a week and watched the trailer for the movie more times than I care to admit. So on Saturday, when I logged on to fandango online and saw that there were tickets available for a 6pm showing, I bought them without hesitation and K and I made it a date night. We stood in line for a while waiting to go in to the theater, watched intently as Katniss battled on, and followed the movie with a delicious Mediterranean meal at Kefi. So, this post is dedicated to the date night outfits. The date nights that are not fancy. The ones that are casual, low-key and planned in the spur of the moment.

  4. This is a gorgeous outfit - you put it together perfectly. I love pale pinks/nudes and golds/bronzes and you're so right, every date night doesn't need to be especially fancy :)

  7. Adorable, chic, yet still comfy and good layering idea for a movie theater! Sometimes all I can think about during the movie is how freaking cold I am!! P.S. I demolished the trilogy too... absolutely loved it yet didn't think the movie was NEARLY as good as it could have been. I enjoyed it but thought it was going to be 10x's better!

  10. Love this outfit! It is so casual but still cute and pulled together. I try to keep my date night outfits casual too (unless we are going to a nice restaurant) because that is what the bf prefers.

  14. I hear ya, girl. I love date nights like these! When we went to the movies on Tuesday I wore jeans, a cute top and wedges. It was perfect for not getting too chilly in the movies. I secretly would much rather stay at home and curl up on the couch. :)
