It's Time To Save

If you're anything like me then you graduated college and your whole world got rocked with big bills, student loans, and real life. The accountant that lives within me had to kick in and figure out ways for me to get organized, budget my money, and get on a schedule where work didn't take over my entire life. Granted, I still sometimes splurge on items that are definitely out of budget and sleep in on days when I should be doing way more productive things, but all in all I'm happy with the work life balance and real life savings I've been able to achieve. Today, thanks to State Farm, I'm sharing with you all some tricks of the trade - my go-to ways of saving money and time when it comes to shopping.

Trick number one - Save money by signing up for the newsletters! Websites, boutiques and brands usually give you a set discount for signing up for their emails. Easy piecey. And you can always unsubscribe from the email list of you get tired or start receiving too many emails.
Trick number two - If you don't absolutely need it, wait for it to go on sale! Sales happen before the start and at the end of every single season. I know, I know. Easier said than done, but it can be worth the wait. For example, the Spring sales and the first round of Friends and Family sales usually happen in April. The second round of Friends and Family sales happens around September and October.
Trick number three - Learn to bargain hunt. When you find a pair of shoes you're dying to have don't just buy them immediately. Wait it out and do an online search for the shoesies. More often than not you'll find a website that has an online deal going on and you'll be able to make your purchase for less.
Trick number four - Save both time and money by going through your closet at least four times a year. It will refresh your memory as to what you actually own, need, and don't need. Plus, it will help you pair things into outfits instead of waking up every morning and rummaging through your closet like a maniac in search of what to wear. Because, let's be honest, if you're anything like me then you just forget what your summer wardrobe includes after so many months of cold weather.
So there you have it! Those four tricks are always my go-to ways of saving money and time when it comes to my wardrobe. What are your tricks?! Do share.

There to help you. That's getting to a better State.
