Sketched

I was beyond tickled when Ruth from Ruth Joyce Illustrator asked if she could do a fun sketch of one of my outfit posts. This lady is extremely talented and I'm so excited to get this beauty framed and added to my gallery wall. Now, I'm sure you want to know more about Ruth, her business and where/how to order one of these so I leave you with a short Q&A that I hope will answer all these questions.

1. Business Name, Location, and where to buy:
Business name- Ruth Joyce Illustrator & Artist / Location- London, UK / People can buy or commission a piece by contacting me through website www.ruthjoyce.co.uk or they can buy one of my prints directly through my Etsy store http://www.etsy.com/shop/RuthJoyceArt

2. When did you begin drawing/sketching?
I began drawing at a very early age and have always found endless joy in it. I began to exhibit my art work when I was 16, holding exhibitions and selling pieces, and over the years have worked tirelessly to develop and hone my style and improve my work. At times it has been a tough learning curve but I can't imagine my life without drawing and painting! Being in London is also amazing for illustrators like me- any time I feel like I'm in a bit of a rut, I go on random art courses; from fine art to graffiti, you can find so much inspiration and direction in these classes. Also I believe you can never stop learning new skills and meeting new people.

3. Where do you find inspiration?
My illustration pieces are inspired by strong women, alternative culture, fashion and sports. Basically, all the things I love or aspire to! My style is vibrant and fierce, and although at times it can be a little dark, it is also always full of energy and passion.

Thanks Ruth for the beautiful sketch and for sharing a little insight into your business with all of us!
