Line to Love: Alexis Russell Jewelry

I was introduced to Alexis Russell's breathtaking pieces a few weeks ago and I immediately knew I needed to share her line with you all. Alexis uses gemstones and recycled fine metals to create some of the most gorgeous, modern and understated jewelry out there. My new bangles have been dangling from my wrist ever since I received them and I've received more complements than I can count thanks to them. There's just something so beautiful about understated, dainty jewelry pieces. Now, without further ado, I leave you with a short Q&A I did with Alexis herself...
How did you start designing and making jewelry?
In addition to studying jewelry and metalsmithing, I apprenticed for a jeweler and was lucky enough to travel and experience the jewelry business firsthand.

Describe your pieces.

Earthy, understated, edgy and modern.

Are there certain materials you gravitate towards?
I constantly find myself drawn to gemstones - diamonds in particular. Recycled fine metals are also a big part of what we do.

Where do you draw inspiration from?
Much of my inspiration comes from the gorgeous, natural materials that I work with. Surroundings also have a big impact on my work - from spending time in nature to a day in the city, inspiration is truly everywhere.

What are your ambitions for your line?
Growth, constant change and the ability to consistently meet my customers' needs.

If you love what you see as much as I do then I invite you to visit her website and shop at LexLuxe, Alexis's Etsy store which is chuck full of pretties. And if you're wondering what my favorites are, these stackable bangles, this edgy cage cuff, and these stackable white diamond rings are all part of my holiday wish list.
